UNIX Technical Support Specialist - Unix Specialist - Oxfordshire - £26-35k p.a. + bonus+ benefits
Use your excellent Unix skills and knowledge of Unix administration, support and installation for this 3rd line support role. You have experience in a wide variety of Unix platforms (Solaris, True64, HP-UX, AIX, Linux). You will also have knowledge of mail-based systems eg Sendmail (MTA and MUA); a good knowledge of operating Mac OS an advantage. Good customer support skills and mentoring ability along with good communication skills essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of the highest levels of product expertise within our client`s technical support group and to act as a common escalation point for technical issues for the company?s worldwide technical support. However, this role is MUCH more than just tech support. It will include interfacing with product managers and software development teams, as well as beta testing. There will be opportunities for providing support and training to world wide support staff.
